Interested in contributing to Five17 Student Ministries?

That’s great! There are a handful of ways one can contribute to the youth ministry. Probably the main one is being a youth leader at youth group. Hands-on youth ministry is not for everyone, but if you have a heart for it, we want to accommodate that! Please send me (Drew) an email at redseven21@gmail.com, or talk to me in person at youth group or at WayPoint Church on sunday morning.  All youth leaders at Five17 are personally vetted by me and are required to fill out and pass a Washington State Patrol background check. Youth leaders must be responsible and be in active pursuit of Christ in their daily lives. Also, I ask that all youth leaders commit to helping out for the duration of the school year.

For students who just graduated from high school (class of 2016), we generally prefer that you have at least one year of time away from regular attendance at Five17. This is critical time for you to develop spiritually and socially as an adult. We do sometimes make exceptions to this, but those are by our request only, and as specific needs arise.

Other ways you can help:
We have several special events that will happen throughout the school year, such as youth outings, our Christmas party, and 2M student  service projects that we always need extra help for! Again, send me an email. If you have a skill set that would be useful for a 2M project, such as landscaping, moving, cleaning, or other, please indicate that in your email.
